The Heritage Lottery Fund has given the green light to proceed with the next exciting phase of development which will see the handsome facade completely renovated and a new heritage lounge telling the story of the building and its fascinating occupants. Interactive hands-on displays will embody the spirit of the Jewellery Quarter's inventive past, present and future with visitors encouraged to rummage and add their own voice to the story.

Two maker's studios will enable visitors to see some of the trades that used to feature at the New Standard Works still continue in a contemporary form, supporting up and coming makers.

The Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £928,600 includes a five year activity plan and two new heritage posts.

Works will start in February 2018 and complete during the summer.

We are so grateful to everyone who has dedicated so much time and effort supporting this project. Thank you - we can't wait to see all the changes and share them with you.
